Paddy McGuinness has been forced to speak out after fans accused him of secretly dating his new television co-star Cherry Healey, following the sharing of a series of cosy snaps that sent tongues wagging.

The 51-year-old comedian and presenter sparked immediate speculation after posting multiple images of himself and Cherry together — looking relaxed, close and clearly comfortable in each other’s company.
Cosy snaps that set social media alight

The photographs showed Paddy with his arm wrapped around Cherry as they enjoyed a meal together, browsed through a bookshop and spent time at a caravan park.

They were also pictured side-by-side at the finish line of Paddy’s gruelling charity bike ride for Children in Need — a moment many fans interpreted as deeply personal.
Adding fuel to the fire, Paddy publicly described Cherry as an “absolute diamond,” prompting followers to question whether the pair were more than just colleagues.
Fans jump to conclusions — and ask the question out loud
Social media users wasted no time in commenting beneath Paddy’s post.
One follower wrote:
“Ooh I’m liking this
Another asked bluntly:
“Is this a soft launch of the new Mrs?”
A third went even further, declaring:
“I suspect your soulmate.”
Paddy shuts it down — fast

But Paddy was quick to address the speculation head-on.
Replying directly to fans, he firmly denied any romantic involvement, writing simply:
“Not at all. She’s just a great person.
Despite the clear response, the attention surrounding the pair continued — driven largely by the warmth visible in their on-screen and off-screen interactions.
A new TV partnership takes shape

Paddy recently joined Inside The Factory, replacing Gregg Wallace, and made his debut alongside Cherry during the BBC show’s Christmas special last month.

Cherry, 44, had co-hosted the programme since 2015, and the upcoming series — launching this week — will see Paddy return to the Warburtons factory in Bolton, where he once worked.
Speaking previously about their working relationship, Paddy admitted he was unsure how things would go at first, as the pair had never met before filming began.
“That’s always the tricky bit — you hope you get on,” he said.
“But honestly, me and Cherry do so much laughing. As soon as we met, we just clicked.”
A friendship forged through support
Paddy also revealed that Cherry had gone out of her way to support him during his Children in Need challenge.
“When I finished the ride, she turned up in Kendal to surprise me — and even brought me a lasagne she’d made herself,” he said.
Both moving on — separately

The rumours come just months after Paddy’s divorce from wife Christine McGuinness was finalised in October 2024.
Cherry, meanwhile, divorced her husband Roly in 2016 after their on-screen BBC Three wedding for Cherry Gets Married. She has two children and is currently in a relationship with Justin Mountstephens, the CEO of a sports marketing agency.
Professional chemistry — nothing more
Despite the speculation, Paddy has made it clear that what fans are seeing is simply genuine friendship and strong professional chemistry.
As the new series of Inside The Factory begins, viewers will be watching closely — not just for what’s happening on screen, but for what might (or might not) be happening behind the scenes.
