Amy Tapper has proudly revealed her striking new look after shedding an incredible eight stone — opening up about the medication, discipline and emotional toll behind her dramatic transformation.

The former Gogglebox star, 26, has dropped from a size 26 to a size 18, combining the weight-loss jab Mounjaro with consistent exercise and long-term lifestyle changes.
Sharing her latest glow-up with followers on Instagram Stories on Thursday, Amy looked radiant as she debuted a glamorous makeover, writing: “Happy Thursday my beautiful people.”

The reality TV favourite recently disclosed that doctors prescribed the medication at a time when she was seriously considering gastric bypass surgery — a turning point that ultimately changed the direction of her weight-loss journey.
“It’s not fat anymore — it’s skin”

Despite celebrating her progress, Amy has been candid about the realities that come with such significant weight loss. Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail, she explained that loose skin is now something she must face.
“Unfortunately and inevitably, when you’ve lost as much weight as eight stone — and there’s going to be more — there’s a lot of skin that’s just not going to disappear with exercise,” she said.
“It’s not possible. It was stones and stones of fat, and now it’s just skin. My arms and my tummy are definitely going to need surgery at some point, but my legs are actually OK.”
She added with a laugh: “These little side bad boys are really toning up.”
Battling trolls — and proving it’s not ‘cheating’

Amy, who first found fame on Gogglebox at just 13, has faced criticism online, with trolls accusing her of “cheating” because she uses weight-loss medication. But she is adamant that her transformation has come through dedication and hard work.
“I’ve been with the same personal trainer for five years,” she explained. “I love going to the gym anyway — mentally, it makes the biggest difference to my week — and I do it hand-in-hand with Mounjaro.”
She credits the combination of medication and exercise for helping her tone her body and maintain momentum.
The numbers behind the transformation

Amy has been taking a weekly 15mg dose of Mounjaro since February, gradually working up from an initial 2.5mg dose. At the height of her progress, she lost an astonishing 5lb in a single week. Within six months, she had already dropped four stone.
“I’m still eating less and moving more,” she said. “But I’m doing it alongside the weight-loss medication — and together, it’s the most perfect pair.”
Confidence — with honesty
With renewed self-belief, Amy says she feels more confident than ever, even while acknowledging that surgery will be part of her future.
“My arms and my tummy are definitely going to need surgery at some point,” she reiterated. “But my legs are actually OK.”
She has also partnered with online pharmacy Chemist4U to help reclaim the phrase “eat less, move more” — after research revealed seven in ten people using weight-loss medication feel judged for doing so.
As part of the campaign, DJ Fat Tony has recorded a new house track titled Already Doing It, featuring Amy in the accompanying music video.
The mental health toll
While fans have praised Amy as an “inspiration”, the scrutiny has taken a toll on her mental health. Appearing on Good Morning Britain last month, she spoke emotionally about the impact of online abuse.
“I do think of myself as strong-minded,” she said. “I can say worse things about myself than anyone else ever could. But of course it affects you. No one is superhuman.”
“When you’ve put all this work in, you do just have to laugh sometimes — but the trolls do affect the peacefulness in your head.”
She urged others not to give too much power to negative opinions online.
“You’re doomed if you do and doomed if you don’t,” she concluded. “So why not just do it?”
Chemist4U’s anti-bullying campaign — backed by the National Bullying Helpline — aims to challenge stigma around weight-loss treatments, with Amy Tapper firmly at its centre.
