The I’m A Celebrity camp was filled with tension, laughter, and yes, some undeniable sparks—but rapper Aitch is setting the record straight on his supposed romance with EastEnders star Shona McGarty. Despite fans speculating a jungle love story after Aitch admitted to having a ‘soft spot’ for the 34-year-old actress, the 25-year-old rapper has confirmed there’s no romance, only mutual respect and shared passion for music.
When questioned by Daily Mail, Aitch firmly denied any romantic involvement, stating: “Romantic, no, not at all. She’s a good friend of mine.” His connection with Shona, he explains, is purely musical—95% of their conversations revolved around how “sick” Shona is at singing.

According to Aitch, the EastEnders star has big plans post-jungle. He revealed: “I knew that she was trying to come out of the Jungle and pursue a music career. She’s so talented. I just told her she needs to stop being so scared and go for it.”
Aitch, who’s built a massive career in the music world, says he’s happy to help Shona make the leap, introducing her to his industry contacts when they return to the UK. “Most of our conversations were me just telling her she sings so well and that she needs to stop being so scared,” he added.

Fans couldn’t help but notice the chemistry between Aitch and Shona. Both recently single—Shona after a painful breakup from her fiancé David Bracken, and Aitch parting ways with girlfriend Lois Cottam—many speculated a romance was blossoming. The whispers only grew when Ruby Wax, I’m A Celeb confidante, remarked that Shona was unlikely to fall for Aitch due to their age gap and Shona’s “type” being “hunky, bigger men.”
Yet despite Ruby’s playful dismissal, Aitch defended their friendship, calling Shona like “his big sister” in the camp, offering advice and encouraging her to embrace her singing talent without fear.
The Pillow Fight and Jungle Anticipation:
Of course, the tension didn’t stop at music chats. Their Doomsville exile with fellow celebs like Martin Kemp and Kelly Brook saw the pair share a playful, flirty moment during a pillow fight, and even a deep, lingering gaze into each other’s eyes.
Sources close to the show revealed producers were “over-the-moon” at the potential for a “Jungle romance” and that Ant McPartlin, a longtime host, was eager to see sparks fly. But despite the simmering tension, Aitch has made it clear that there’s no love affair brewing—just a bond built on mutual admiration and a shared vision for the future.

While fans may have to wait to see if there’s a future romance on the horizon for Shona, one thing is clear: her music career is on the rise, and Aitch will be there to help her along the way.
Stay tuned for more updates on Shona’s journey from soap star to musical sensation.
