Jeff Brazier’s ex-wife Kate Dwyer has sparked fresh speculation that she may already be stepping back into the dating world just weeks after their shock split.
In November it was revealed that Jeff and Kate had called time on their marriage after seven years together. Now the PR guru has hinted she could be back on the market after sharing a cryptic Instagram story that many believe reflects the deeper pain behind their breakup.
The post read:
“Date a dog girl. You don’t have to worry about them cheating because all they do is work, train their dogs, blow all their money on their dogs and pass out early af.”
Kate added her own comment alongside it, writing: “Truth,” followed by a laughing emoji.
But shortly after, friends say Kate privately shared a more heartfelt reflection that appears to explain the emotional state behind her public humour.
“Being hurt by the wrong person doesn’t mean love is broken,” the message is believed to read. “One betrayal should never take away your trust, your tenderness, or your right to be happy again.”
While Kate’s posts raised eyebrows, Jeff also took to social media to open up about life after the break-up, addressing the collapse of their marriage for the first time.
He wrote:
“When you go from a relationship to single you have to get comfortable standing alone in a space that was once shared. I find it helpful to remind often that ‘I am enough’.”
Sources close to Jeff insist he has been devastated by the split but has firmly denied being responsible for any third party entering the relationship, stressing that he was not the cause of another person appearing and that the marriage ended due to long-standing emotional strain rather than betrayal.
Insiders have previously revealed that the former couple’s strained relationship with Jeff’s youngest son Freddy placed huge pressure on their marriage.
A source explained: “The last year has been incredibly hard on all the family and unfortunately Kate is the one who has really suffered in it all.”
It was also disclosed that Jeff and Kate, who were together for twelve years in total, are now living apart after what was described as “a year of hell”, largely involving issues with Freddy – Jeff’s son from his relationship with the late Big Brother star Jade Goody.
Among the difficulties was an escalating rift between Freddy and step-mum Kate. In a painful post, Freddy once listed things he “hates”, including “step parents” – a comment said to have been “like a dagger in the heart” for Kate.
The insider added: “It’s no secret that Freddy has been struggling and has a number of issues, which has meant everything else has taken a back seat.
“He’s been quite vocal about not liking Kate and is said to have been verbally abusive towards her at times. Kate really feels Jeff could have stood up for her more, but instead she felt pushed out.
“People forget Kate has been a mother figure to both the boys since they were very young and has truly given her all to support them and Jeff.”
Now, with Kate hinting she may be finding the strength to move forward — and Jeff quietly defending himself while learning how to stand alone — fans are left wondering whether this marks the beginning of healing… or only the first chapter of a much deeper emotional fallout.
