I’m A Celebrity star Kelly Brook has stunned viewers by revealing the surprising reason her husband, Jeremy Parisi, once refused to propose — a confession she shared while reflecting on her long history of five failed engagements.
The 46-year-old model lifted the curtain on her romantic past during the latest episode of the hit ITV show, speaking from the uncomfortable confines of Doomsville after losing a rivals battle that left her sleeping on a rock-hard bunk and cold groundsheets.
In tonight’s instalment, the conversation turned to marriage proposals when fellow campmate Aitch admitted he had once been proposed to by a fan at a meet-and-greet. When Kelly asked if he wanted to get married, he instantly replied he “100%” did.
That’s when Kelly opened up, saying:
“I’d been engaged about five times before I met my husband!”
She then confessed that Jeremy had never actually proposed to her in the traditional way.
“I think he was petrified,” she admitted. “Because of all the engagements I’d had, he thought it might be the beginning of the end.”
Kelly revealed she was ultimately the one who raised the idea of marriage, with Martin Kemp adding that his wife Shirlie had done something similar after he kept “putting it off.”
Kelly’s journey to finding lasting love with Italian model Jeremy, whom she married in July 2022, came after years of high-profile romances — many of which ended abruptly or painfully.

She had stumbled across one of his videos and decided to follow him — a move that quietly changed her life. In 2018, she publicly predicted her next engagement would be the one that lasted.
And she was right.
Kelly and Jeremy eventually tied the knot in Italy in 2022, marking the end of years of romantic upheaval and the beginning of her long-awaited happy ending.
